Po relacji z Whisky Live Warsaw 2015 dziś kolejna wspominka z festiwalu w postaci sampla jakiego przywiozłem z Warszawy. Na blogu Kavalan Solist Sherry Cask już gościł, dość dawno temu i zrobił na mnie dobre wrażenie (była to oczywiście inna beczka).
Dziś znów mamy tajwańską bombę sherrową z ABV na poziomie 57.8%. Whisky oczywiście w naturalnym, pięknym kolorze i pochodząca z jednej beczki.
Moje odczucia:
OKO: głęboka miedź z rubinową głębią.
NOS: wita nas Kavalanowy lakierek, moc suszonych owoców wymoczonych w wiśniowej nalewce, jeżyny, czarne jagody. Cios z sherry w przypadku tej whisky jest prawie jak nokaut Mike’a Tysona w pierwszej części Kac Vegas – jest w cudownych okolicznościach i nie boli, wręcz przeciwnie, mógłby trwać wieki. Oprócz sherry mamy kompot ze śliwek, wiśni i suszu. Są też rodzynki i wymoczone przez lata w tej cudownej sherry dębowe drewno. Poezja. Z wodą: intensywnie owocowe landrynki oraz kandyzowane pomarańcze.
JĘZYK: whisky jest bardzo oleista (nawet mieszając ją w kieliszku zachowuje się jak rzadszy olej), oblepia każdy zakamarek podniebienia. Walka wszystkich sherrowych smaków z naprawdę przyjemnie wkomponowaną w całość dębiną – dawno mi tak żadne drewno nie smakowało 🙂 Rozgrzewająca słodycz, w którą wplątane mamy orzechy, rodzynki i owoce z ciepłej jeszcze konfitury malinowo-porzeczkowej. Z wodą: mniej rozgrzewająca i ciut bardziej aktywna dębina.
FINISZ: długi, miękki, przyjemny. Sherry, gładka dębina i delikatna kawa z mlekiem.
Warunki panujące na Tajwanie (wysoka temperatura i wilgotność powietrza), wiedza i umiejętności ludzi z destylarni Kavalana dają nam piorunującą wręcz mieszankę, która powoduje, że Kavalan nie ma słabych whisky. Ta dzisiejsza oczywiście trzyma fantastycznie poziom wyznaczony samym sobie przez tajwańskich master blenderów. Pijcie Kavalana.
